The BMC Computing Infrastructure Migration - the individual experience

Posted March 18th, 2008 at 12:25 pm.

Here’s the latest draft of what we anticipate the individual’s experience of the migration will be. One important change from earlier plans is that we will start out using the web version of the calendar only. There are some issues we need to make sure are functioning correctly before we open the connection to Outlook and iCal.

Those who need Outlook for features such as mail merge or offline access to email will be able to use it for those purposes but, initially, not for calendaring. Also, those who want to access calendar information via handheld devices, will be able to do this directly through the new server (ie won’t need Outlook for this purpose).
