Monday Morning Reminder: email and Virtual will be using the new College password

– our new integrated Communication Center is be available at http://webmail.brynmawr.edu

– Meeting Maker will be unavailable and calendaring will be done in the Communication Center

– you will need to reset your password for use in webmail or any mail client — this new “College password” will be used for Virtual Bryn Mawr and a few other logins. Go to https://password.brynmawr.edu for info on how to obtain and change this new password.

– some users will see a *one-time* duplication of emails stored on the server — those who edit web pages will need to change their settings

– those who store files on “ada” will need to change their settings

– you can come to the Campus Center from 9-5 on Monday or Tuesday for support in learning how to use the new system.

That’s it! Eudora, Thunderbird, Outlook users: you’ll still be able to view your email in familiar systems until your department goes through phase 2 of the transition. But try out the new Webmail anyway. You might never go back.

Remember that you’re welcome to visit our mobile education stations in the Campus Center on Monday and Tuesday or to contact the Help Desk (help@brynmawr.edu or x7440).

    IN all of these notifications, we’ve never been told that off-campus access to library resources would be unavailable (one assumes, until the new email is operational?). In fact, I don’t see any notes about it in the FAQ or on the library homepage. This should’ve been made explicit.
