Dear Members of the Bryn Mawr College Community,

Information Services will be making significant changes to our services and staffing patterns for the 2009-2010 academic year. Some of these changes will affect you more directly than others.

Many of these changes respond to two primary factors: 1) recommendations that you have given us in surveys for an easier-to-navigate organization with more unmediated services and, 2) the need to provide service in a more resource-constrained environment.

Over the course of the summer you will receive a series of emails detailing:

Library Circulation & Reserves

• Submitting reserve requests online
• Open reserve shelves
• Self check-out

The Help Desk & Guild Computer Lab

• Help Desk move to Canaday
• New professional staffing model
• Guild lab computers move to Canaday

Multimedia & Teaching Space

• Campus-wide changes to smart classrooms
• New teaching space available in Canaday
• New Media Lab moves from Guild to Canaday

Introducing the TECH Bar!

• Visit the TECH Bar for Technology Education & Collaborative Help
• How does it work?  3-part staffing model brings students and staff together
• Transforming the main floor of Canaday
