Note to everyone editing websites accessed via ada.brynmawr.edu:
The "server" name you use to connect to your site needs to be changed from from "ada.brynmawr.edu" to "bascom.brynmawr.edu". Your password will be your current email/ada password (after June 6th your "web-only" password).
This change is needed whether you edit with Contribute, sftp, ssh, or a different application such as Dreamweaver and regardless of "new" or "old" design. You can make this change effective immediately (and will need to after Friday at 5pm).
The silver lining is that we think this might eliminate the random "loss" of permission to edit a file that ...

Here's the
latest draft of what we anticipate the individual's experience of the migration will be. One important change from earlier plans is that we will start out using the web version of the calendar only. There are some issues we need to make sure are functioning correctly before we open the connection to Outlook and iCal.
Those who need Outlook for features such as mail merge or offline access to email will be able to use it for those purposes but, initially, not for calendaring. Also, those who want to access calendar information via handheld devices, ...

Information Services recently completed an intensive review of our current e-mail and calendaring (i.e. Meeting Maker) services, partly in response to community requests. In late December we received the approval and support of the senior administration and Board of Trustees of the College to begin a major upgrade to these systems.
We are now developing an implementation plan to migrate the community from our current wide range of email and calendar programs to a single integrated email and calendaring service, with full-featured web-based email/calendar, campus address book accessible from anywhere, to-do lists, and collaborative workspaces. The new system will ...
